Madonna Louise Ciccone Ritchie was born in August 16, 1958. She also known as Madonna. She is an American recording artist and entertainer. Born in Bay City, Michigan and raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan, Madonna moved to New York City for a career in modern dance. After performing as member of the pop musical groups Breakfast Club and Emmy, she released her self-titled debut album in 1983, and then produced three consecutive number-one studio albums on the Billboard 200 in the 1980s and four more since year 2000.
Madonna is known for exploring religious symbolism and sexual themes in her work. Madonna has acted in 22 films. Although most failed critically and commercially, she earned a Golden Globe Award for her role in the 1996 film Evita. Madonna has been regarded as "one of the greatest pop acts of all time" and dubbed the "Queen of Pop" by various sources. Guinness World Records list her as the world's most successful female recording artist of all time and the top-earning female singer in the world with an estimated net worth of US$490 million, having sold over 200 million records worldwide. On March 10, 2008, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Madonna has announced more dates for her Sticky and Sweet Tour

The ‘Sticky & Sweet Tour was enjoyed by 2,350,285 fans in 58 citites. With record breaking ticket sales everywhere, plus 650,000 tickets sold in her series of South American dates and rest of the tickets have been sold out through out the world in 2008. Because of a lot of demands from her fans she has enhanced her tour. The dates are mostly consists of UK and European Venues.

In The Press: Tickets for Madonna gig on sale in UK

The tickets have gone on sale for Madonna's 27-date world tour which kicks off in Cardiff in August. A tickets agency in the city said there had been a queue of people waiting for their doors to open at 0900 BST. The head of marketing at the Millennium Stadium said they were "delighted" Madonna was starting her tour there. "As she's starting her world tour here, it's placing a tremendous focus on Cardiff," Gwyn Dolphin from the stadium said. "This is the second time Madonna has performed here, it shows it's a good venue and a good location." He expected the concert to be a sell out with around 50,000 attending and Mr Dolphin said having the choice to open or close the roof gave them added flexibility. Madonna's only other UK date for the Sticky & Sweet Tour is in Wembley, London. Tim Rich managing director from Ticketline UK said: "There sales have been very brisk with people coming through the doors and calling on the phone. "It's great for Cardiff and south Wales that Madonna's bringing her visual and audio extravaganza here. In 2006 she came to the Millennium Stadium with her Confessions Tour, which was I think the highest grossing tour for a female at the time," he added. He said there was a limit of six tickets per person - with prices ranging from £55 to £150. The star celebrates her 50th birthday on 16 August, days only before the concert in Cardiff on 23 August. The tour will stop in major cities across Europe including London and Paris, as well as cities in the US. From BBC News.

About Madonna's Album Hard Candy

Hard Candy is the eleventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna and was released first on 25 April 2008 by Warner Bros. Records. It was her last studio album to be released under her contract with Warner Bros. April 26 was the release date in Australia but many retailers chose to sell the album two days early on April 24, while a select few European countries saw the album's release on April 25; on 28 April 2008 in the United Kingdom, Brazil and most other European countries, and on 29 April 2008 in the United States, Argentina, Mexico and Canada.
The album has an overall hip-hop/pop feel, while remaining a pop/dance record at heart. The Sun quoted a source as saying:

“It’s not all hip-hop though, there are a lot of producers from a lot of genres in there. It could be her most ambitious project yet.”

Madonna has gone on the record many times in the last month, stating that she will indeed embark on a fall tour to go with the album. Possible dates leaked on May 7, 2008, stating that the tour would begin on August 23, 2008 in Cardiff, Wales. She will be doing several small performances to promote the album on the Hard Candy Promo Tour.
